This school year Assumption School is sending four staff members to be trained in Positive Behavior Intervention and Support (PBIS). The PBIS initiative begins by identifying three to five attributes we want to instill in our students. We are in the process of using those attributes to develop a behavior matrix that outlines the expected student behavior in all areas of the school. The next step is to identify ways we can teach these behaviors and procedures, in a positive manner, in an effort to meet the social and emotional needs of the student.
