Assumption school is proud to announce that a school newspaper is coming! Recently, a group of five seventh grade girls came up with the idea to form a newspaper. Immediately, they established a plan, arranged meetings and researched information on how to create a school paper. After about a month of working the editors for the upcoming newspaper, Ava Grossman, Madison Huff, Gabby Keithley, Anna Kleckner, and Sydney Moore established everything required to set their plan in motion. Their goal is to create a student run newspaper that would be distributed online to grades 3-8, and would be written by students of grades 7 and 8. It would include features about the happenings in and outside of Assumption, as well as stories and articles meant specifically to teach and inspire young readers. Their hope is to have the newspaper available once per month. The girls are currently putting a staff together, and hope to have the paper up and running as soon as possible with their first issue out by January. The moderator and chief editor is Mrs. Kroeger, from the Middle School English Department.
