Celebrating and Blessing God's Creatures

In celebration of the Feast Day of St. Francis of Assisi, Assumption School gathered on Friday, October 9, to bless our beloved pets and give thanks to God for the joy they bring to our lives.

Through every wagging tail, gentle purr, joyful song, and faithful companionship, we are reminded of the beauty of God’s creation and the boundless love that surrounds us. As St. Francis lovingly called all creatures his brothers and sisters, may we cherish the sacred bond we share with the animals entrusted to our care.

May God bless our pets with health, peace, and protection, and may their presence draw us closer to the Creator of all living things. Together, let us praise the Lord for the wonder, goodness, and love reflected in every creature.

“Blessed are you, Lord God, in all your creatures!” Amen.
