Assumption Celebrates Prom through the Decades April 22

Dust off your prom dress and dig out that vintage bow tie, Assumption is getting ready to celebrate the 2023 Gala: Prom through the Decades, Saturday, April 22! Join us for an exciting evening of music, dancing, dinner, drinks, raffles, games, and plenty of chances to win unique live and silent auction items. Tickets are on sale now! Prom attire welcome, but not needed to attend.

Doors open and cocktails will be served at 6:30 p.m. This year's signature drink is sponsored by our wonderful friends at El Tio Pepe and is sure to be a hit! Dinner is provided by Russo’s Catering and will be served promptly at 7 p.m., and the live auction begins at 7:45 p.m. A brand new electric ICON i40L Caribbean Blue, four-person golf cart, courtesy of STL Custom Cartz, will be raffled-off at 9 p.m., and everyone goes home with a gift bag of favors.

Tickets are $140 per couple and $70 each and will be available for purchase online at https://abvm.ticket.qtego.net through April 15. Golf Cart raffle tickets will be sold up to two hours prior to the drawing on the night of the event and cost $20 each or six tickets for $100. Assumption Parishioner John Grabowski will be serving as the Gala Auctioneer for the evening. A few of the popular auction items featured at the event include:

• Autographed jersey of our very own Assumption School alumni Josh Sargent, professional soccer player and starter in the 2022 FIFA World Cup game
• Dinner with O'Fallon Mayor Bill Hennessy at The Corner Pub and Grill
• A variety of autographed baseball memorabilia generously donated by Ken Behlmann, retired owner of Behlmann Buick GMC
• And so much more!

Donations are being accepted and can be dropped off at the Gala table downstairs in the pre-function area of the Parish Hall on Palm Sunday, April 2, after Mass (8 a.m., 10 a.m. and noon) or by making other arrangements. This year’s Fund the Need campaign is calling for the installation of 20 additional school security cameras. Sponsorships and business advertisements in the Gala souvenir booklet also are available and offer great exposure and publicity to any business or organization. But that’s not all! As a tribute to our loving Assumption Parish and School families, we will be featuring their prom photos at the event! Interested participants should take a photo of their prom photo and email it to auction@abvmtech.org no later than April 1. No joke! These photos are priceless and are sure to add historical décor to the glitzy Gala atmosphere.
