Registration for Assumption Summer Camps Available Now Through May 1
Discover something new and exciting this summer at Assumption Summer Camp! If you are between the ages of 4-14 and attend Assumption School or PSR, be sure to sign-up now for a variety of fun, weeklong summer camp adventures happening during the month of June.
Taught by certified teachers, these unique camp experiences will be held on the campus of Assumption School, and available during the morning and afternoon. Here is the lineup of this year’s AMAZING Summer Camps:
Cheer Camp: 8-11 a.m., Monday – Friday, June 5-9 for children in 1-8 grades Cost: $65 With St. Dominic High School cheerleaders serving as mentors, this high-energy cheer clinic for children in first through Eighth grades offers coaching on cheer jumps, cheers, and chants. Cheerleaders also learn a dance routine and so much more during this weeklong camp led by Mrs. Stacy Chassaniol. Cheer Camp is limited to 35 children.
Mazes, Games and Coding Camp: 8-11 a.m., Monday – Friday, June 5-9 for children in 1-4 grades Cost: $65 Have you ever wondered how your computer works? This techy camp explores computer coding with Mrs. Teresa Bowman. Children in first through fourth grades will explore coding concepts through games, mazes, and using an interactive coding mouse. After mastering those skills, participants use a program called Scratch and Kodable to create activities with the coding skills they learned. Mazes, Games and Coding Camp is limited to 20 children.
Archery Camp: 12-3 p.m., Monday – Friday, June 5-9 for children in 5-8 grades Cost: $65 Participants learn about archery equipment and care, range safety, and the fundamental skills of archery, including shooting technique, and scoring with Mr. Jonathan Gonzalez. After learning the ins and outs of your bow and arrow, archers will participate in a variety of archery games. Archery Camp is limited to 15 children.
Crime Scene Investigating (CSI) Camp: 12-3 p.m., Monday – Friday, June 5-9 for children in 5-8 grades Cost: $65 Modeled after the game CLUE, campers will attend a murder mystery party during this two-day camp. The partygoers in grades fifth through eighth will need to find clues to figure out who did it, with what, and where. Along the way, campers will learn the basics of forensic science and crime scene investigation with Mrs. Stacy Chassaniol. CSI Camp is limited to 25 children.
Vacation Bible School (VBS): 9 a.m.-12 p.m., Monday – Friday, June 12-16 for children in pre-K3-5 grades Cost: $65 Get ready to launch on a cosmic quest while having a blast shining Jesus’ light to the world. “Stellar” rockets kids on an out-of-this-world adventure that is light years of faith-building fun! Children in preschool through fifth grade will experience community and faith at this exciting, fun-packed, half-day camp that explores God’s word through music, crafts and activities. A Camp T-shirt, daily snacks, craft supplies and memories of a lifetime are included. VBS is limited to 90 children.

Art Mediums Camp (lower grades): 8-11 a.m., Monday – Friday, June 19-23 for children in 1-4 grades Cost: $65 Experience art making by experimenting with a variety of mediums including, paint, charcoal, watercolor, clay, beads, paper crafts, and more! Mr. Jonathan Gonzalez will guide artists in first through fourth grades in the proper use of the medium through structured and independent projects. Art Mediums Camp is limited to 30 children.
Summer Dance Fun: 8-11 a.m., Monday – Friday, June 19-23 for children in pre-K4-2 grades Cost: $65 Dancers will learn the basics of ballet, jazz, and hip-hop, and enjoy fun activities and crafts each day. Explore Disney-based songs from favorites such as The Lion King, Encanto, Frozen, Moana, Zombies, and more! Mrs. Jeni Willis and a few of her very special dance friends will lead the camp. All boys and girls welcome, including incoming pre-K4, first and second-grade children. Dance shoes are not required. Summer Dance Camp is limited to 30 children.

PE Camp: 8-11 a.m., Monday – Friday, June 26-30 for children in 1-8 grades Cost: $65 Enjoy your favorite PE games at the 10th annual Assumption PE Camp! Campers in first through eighth grades will participate in age-appropriate team sports, while focusing on individual skills and games, team building activities, lots of movement, friends, FUN, and the newly added Water Activity Day (weather permitting). Ms. Teresa Carter and Mr. Jonathan Gonzalez are leading the exciting camp that will definitely be a highlight of your summer! PE Camp is limited to 60 children.
Note: Those in fifth through eighth grades also are encouraged to sign-up for the afternoon PE Tourney Camp that takes place after the PE Camp during the same week.
PE Tourney Camp: 12-3 p.m., Monday – Friday, June 26-30 for children in 5-8 grades Cost: $65 This exciting camp offers the older students the opportunity to enjoy lively spirited competitions through a variety of competitive tournaments. Ms. Kaitlyn Carter and Mr. Jonathan Gonzalez will lead the 2nd Annual PE Tourney Camp takes place on the soccer field and inside the school gymnasium. PE Tourney Camp limited to 60 children.
