Be the Light: 2024-2025 Assumption School Theme

Discover the hidden power within you! Uncover the powerful message of Matthew 5:14 and unlock your potential to be the guiding light in a dark world. According to Matthew 5:14-16, Jesus Christ teaches us to be a light of the world, illuminating the darkness and bringing hope to those around us.

As Disciples of Christ, we, as parents, faculty, staff, and parishioners are encouraged to let your light shine before others this year. Be the Light through our school – within each of our families, within the parent/teacher communities, within our classroom communities, and within our entire parish community.

As we look ahead to the new school year, I am excited to welcome back to school our students in kindergarten – 8th grade, Wednesday, Aug. 14, and our pre-K students on Aug. 19. This year, 78 new students are joining our school community with a total of 438 enrolled, and I cannot wait to see everyone at the Back-to-School Open House, Sunday, Aug. 11, after 10AM Mass. This is a great opportunity for students to meet their teacher and drop off school supplies. Parishioners are also encouraged to visit as we also celebrate our parish feast day, the Solemnity of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary.
